Getting started

What is Stateside Parcel Co.?

Stateside Parcel Co. is a small, California-based package forwarding service for customers in the UK and Ireland.

You shop U.S. retailers, send your orders to my California address, and I can receive, store and consolidate your packages before forwarding them across the pond.

How does it work?
  1. Choose a monthly or 3-month Stateside membership.
  2. Create your unique Customer ID during signup.
  3. Log into Member HQ to get your Stateside shipping address.
  4. Shop your favorite U.S. retailers and include your Customer ID on every order.
  5. Add your incoming package information through Member HQ.
  6. When you're done shopping, submit a Shipping Request with your destination details and receipts.
  7. I'll consolidate everything and send you your final invoice.
  8. Once the invoice is paid, your shipment heads out within 1–3 business days.
Which countries do you support?

Stateside currently serves customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Do I need an AddressPal account?

No. You don't need an AddressPal account to use Stateside. Your Stateside membership gives you access to the California shipping address directly.

If you're in Ireland and already have an AddressPal account, you can absolutely continue using it separately for purchases where it makes sense. It just isn't required for your Stateside membership.

Packages sent to Stateside should still use your Stateside address and Customer ID exactly as shown in Member HQ.

Can you ship my packages to AddressPal or another package forwarder?

Yes. If you already use AddressPal or another package forwarder, Stateside can ship your consolidated package to that forwarder's U.S. address instead of sending it directly to you internationally.

When you're ready to ship, I'll compare the available pricing for sending your package to the other forwarder with the available direct international shipping price from Stateside. I'll share the options so you can decide which route makes the most sense for you.

You'll need an active account with the other forwarder and will still be responsible for any fees, shipping charges or restrictions that company applies after it receives your package.

Why Stateside instead of a huge forwarding warehouse?

Stateside is intentionally small. Your packages aren't moving through a giant anonymous warehouse operation — they're being handled by me.

That means direct communication, personal package updates and an actual human to talk to when something gets weird.

Membership & your account

How much does membership cost?

Stateside currently offers two membership options:

  • Monthly — $19.99 USD per month
  • 3 months — $49.99 USD

International shipping, handling and any applicable shopping charges are separate from your membership fee.

The monthly option offers the most flexibility. The 3-month option gives you more time to shop and consolidate at a lower effective monthly cost. Continued availability after a monthly or 3-month term ends isn't guaranteed unless you renew while space is available.

What is my Customer ID?

Your Customer ID is the unique 7-character code you create when you join Stateside.

Use the first three letters of your last name followed by four numbers — for example: DEL4827.

Very important: Your Customer ID needs to be included on every package sent to Stateside. It's how I know which incoming parcel belongs to you.
Where can I find my Customer ID if I forget it?

Your Customer ID is included in the original order confirmation email you received when you purchased your membership.

You can also use the Forgot your Customer ID? option in Member HQ to request help retrieving it.

Can I cancel my membership?

Please contact me if you need to cancel your membership. Membership fees may not be refundable once your Stateside services have been activated.

Packages & shipping

How do I tell you I have a package on the way?

Head to Member HQ → Add a Package and send me the retailer, tracking information and a quick description of what's inside.

Submitting that information as soon as you get your tracking details helps me match the package to you when it arrives.

How will I know when my package arrives?

Packages are checked in by hand when they arrive. I'll photograph your delivery and send you an update so you know it's safely Stateside.

Can you combine multiple packages into one shipment?

Yep — that's kind of the point. When possible, I'll consolidate multiple U.S. orders into one tidy international shipment.

Consolidation can help cut down on multiple international delivery charges and general parcel chaos.

Can I order from any U.S. retailer?

You can order from most U.S. retailers that deliver to the Stateside address, but that does not mean every item sold by that retailer can be legally shipped to or imported into your country.

Before purchasing anything, you are responsible for checking your destination country's current customs, import and restricted-goods rules. If you're unsure about an item, contact me before ordering, but please remember that Stateside cannot provide legal or customs advice or guarantee that an item will be admitted by customs.

How long can you hold my packages?

Package storage is included with your membership and remains active for as long as your membership is active. This gives you time to place orders from multiple U.S. retailers before combining everything into one shipment.

Before your membership ends, you'll need to request shipping for any packages being stored or renew your membership, subject to availability. If your membership is close to expiring and you still have packages here, please contact me.

How do I request international shipping?

When you're done shopping, go to Member HQ → Request Shipping.

You'll provide your final delivery address, phone number, order receipts and any special packing requests. I'll then consolidate your packages and prepare your final invoice.

When do I pay for shipping?

You don't pay international shipping until you're ready to send everything home.

After you submit your Shipping Request, I'll prepare your consolidated shipment and send your final invoice. Once the invoice is approved and paid, your parcel ships within 1–3 business days.

How long does international shipping take?

Delivery time varies depending on the carrier, service level, destination and customs processing.

Available shipping options and estimated delivery times will be provided before your shipment is sent whenever possible.

Do I need to keep my order receipts?

Yes. Please save the receipts or order confirmations for the purchases you're sending to Stateside. You'll upload them when submitting your Shipping Request.

Trader Joe's purchases made by Stateside are the exception, since I'll already have the purchase information for those items.

Can you shop at Trader Joe's for me?

Absolutely. Trader Joe's runs are one of the perks around here. I can personally shop for eligible Trader Joe's items on your behalf.

Product costs and applicable personal-shopping fees will be included in your final charges.

Fees, customs & taxes

Is international shipping included in my membership?

No. Your membership covers access to Stateside and your U.S. forwarding service. International shipping is calculated separately when you're ready to send your parcel.

What's included on my final invoice?

Your final invoice may include:

  • International shipping costs
  • Package handling charges
  • Applicable shopping or service fees
  • Outstanding product costs for personal-shopping orders, such as Trader Joe's
  • Any other applicable shipment charges
Will I have to pay customs duties, VAT or import taxes?

Possibly. Customs duties, VAT, import taxes and other government charges may apply when your parcel enters your destination country.

These charges are the customer's responsibility and aren't included in your Stateside membership fee.

You are also responsible for any charges or consequences resulting from customs delaying, refusing, returning, seizing or lawfully disposing of a restricted or prohibited item.

Policies & restrictions

Import rules vary by country and product. Check before you buy — eligibility is ultimately the customer's responsibility.

Who is responsible for checking whether an item is legal to import?
⚠️ You are. The customer is responsible for confirming before purchasing an item that it is legal to export from the United States, accepted by the selected carrier and legal to import into the destination country.

Customs and import restrictions vary by destination, carrier, product type, ingredients and quantity, and they can change without notice. Please check your country's current official customs, import and prohibited or restricted-goods guidance before ordering. This is especially important for food, cosmetics, skincare, liquids, powders, supplements, vitamins, medications, aerosols, fragrances, batteries, electronics, plants, seeds, animal products and other regulated goods.

Stateside Parcel Co. does not guarantee that any item is permitted for import. An item being sold in the United States—or Stateside receiving it, inspecting it, including it in a quote, accepting payment for it or handing it to a carrier—does not confirm that customs will allow it into your country.

Stateside may refuse, pause or cancel shipment of any item that may be prohibited, restricted, unsafe, improperly documented or unsuitable for international shipping. The customer is responsible for customs duties, taxes, penalties, delays, refusals, returns, seizures, storage, disposal and other resulting costs or consequences, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

What items cannot be forwarded?

Certain products can't be accepted or forwarded due to carrier restrictions, customs requirements, destination-country laws, safety concerns or Stateside policy. This list is not exhaustive, and you must check the rules for your destination country before purchasing an item.

Restricted or prohibited items include:

  • Hazardous materials
  • Flammable products
  • Certain batteries
  • Aerosols
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco and nicotine products
  • Perishable food items
  • Extra-large goods such as furniture, appliances or oversized items
  • Other prohibited or restricted goods
🚫 Melatonin: Stateside Parcel Co. does not accept or forward melatonin or products containing melatonin. Please do not send these items to your Stateside address.
⚠️ Crest Whitestrips: Crest whitening products may be subject to import restrictions in some destinations and are not guaranteed to clear customs. If you choose to ship them, you do so at your own risk. Stateside is not responsible for items delayed, refused, seized, destroyed or returned by customs, and shipping charges are non-refundable in these circumstances.

If you're unsure whether something can be forwarded, contact me before you order it.

What happens if I forget to put my Customer ID on a package?

Your Customer ID is how I match an incoming package to your account. If it's missing, I may not be able to immediately identify who the parcel belongs to.

If you realize you forgot it, contact me with your tracking number and order details as soon as possible so I can play parcel detective.

What is your return policy?

If you decide you no longer want an item, I may be able to assist with returning it to the retailer before your package has been consolidated or forwarded internationally.

A $5 handling fee per returned item applies, in addition to any return-shipping charges required by the retailer.

Return policies and windows are determined by the original retailer, so a return can't always be guaranteed.

Once your parcel has been consolidated and shipped internationally, returns can't be processed through Stateside Parcel Co.

Is my package insured?

Packages are handled with care while they're with Stateside. Once an international shipment leaves Stateside, transportation is handled by the selected shipping carrier.

Insurance options may be available depending on the carrier and shipment type. If you'd like insurance added, let me know before your parcel is shipped.
